The Kings basketball team showcased their strength and unity at the recent Phenom Hoops Team Camp, where top high school teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida gathered. Throughout the weekend, the Kings demonstrated exceptional teamwork leading to a 2-0 record with standout performances from key players.
Leading the charge for the team were 2025 Point Guard R.J Palmer Jr and Point Guard Hezekiah Ponder. Together, they orchestrated the offense efficiently, accumulating over 30 assists and showcasing a relentless defensive effort. Their leadership on the court set the tone for the Kings' success at the camp.
Tiqirrius Washington, a 2024 Small Forward, continued to impress with his consistent double-double performances in points and rebounds. His elite rim protection skills added a layer of defense that thwarted opponents' scoring attempts. Washington's versatility and impact on both ends of the court were instrumental in the team's victories.
The defensive prowess of 2026 Shooting Guard Sincere Treadwell was a crucial element of the Kings' success. Treadwell's relentless pressure on the opposing team, spanning the entire length of the court, resulted in numerous steals that transitioned into valuable points for the Kings.
